Tail of the Dragon - C1

Tail of the Dragon - Chapter 1

We did it.. we slayed the Dragon.
What a great ride and weekend. HOLMZEE brought DEBI along for the ride. (That is NOT DEBI in the above picture!)
We left approx 6AM on Friday the 6th of June and rode to Robbinsville NC. It took us 12hours because we stopped at the Wheels of Time museum in Maggie Valley and also had a big dinner there at a great Restaurant (forgot to write down which one - hah).
Anyway. We got up Saturday and ate a great breakfast before we picked up our swords and headed out. We slayed the dragon first and also stopped at the top of Deals Gap and handed out bottles of water to thirsty souls there. It was great to chat with bikers from all over the place...  then we rode for about 6 hours thru the beautiful countryside and along the Cherohala Skyway.
It POURED rain on Sunday morning at 3AM.. and was done by 6AM when we headed out.
We took our time and swung back thru Maggie Valley for a great breakfast a the Maggie Valley Restaurant (you could smell the bacon cooking as you rode by!)
A wonderful 12hour ride back to our homes in Virginia.
All is well and God is Good!

2014 MEMORIAL DAY RIDE.

C1 met at the local Roses dept. store in Jacksonville, NC with some local MC's for a Memorial Day ride. We ended the ride at the Vietnam/Beirut Memorial at Camp Johnson. DJ was asked to speak and then have prayer. Awesome opportunity to reach out to a couple of MC's we haven't had the chance to meet yet. God blessed us with gorgeous weather and no wrecks or mechanical problems. I would like to take this opportunity to introduce our two new Prospects (top photo) Ralph Drinkwater on the left and Ken Lindsey second from right.
Today is not about ball games or races or BBQ's, it's a time set aside to honor the Brave men and women who gave the ultimate sacrifice so you and I can have the freedoms we enjoy everyday. Remember freedom isn't free, it was bought and paid for with the blood of our service men and women on far away battle fields most of us will never see. So as you ride along on our highways and back roads with the wind in your face, take the time to thank God that we had men and women willing to go and pay that price. To all my Brothers and Sisters who are still serving, and have served in the past, and to the families of the ones who paid the price.......from the bottom of my heart.....Thank You for your service and sacrifice. May God richly Bless you and yours.

National Meeting Spring 2014

National Meeting Spring 2014 went off as planned!
Everyone that showed up had a great time!
We fired up the bikes and rode an hour out to the Virginia Diner in Wakefield VA.
We had a meeting there while we all ate some great grub!
Everyone had done their homework and came with great ideas for ministry.. And ideas of how better to promote our 'Open to the Public' rides.

Thank you everyone for your continued prayer for this ministry.. Lord knows we can use them!

Knotts Island Ferry Ride - C1

Chapter 1 decided to go on a impomptu ride this past weekend!
It was "bring your wives on a blustery day" ride.
=)
HOLMZEE brought Debi along. Shelley couldn't make it so LURCH rode alone. Heather rode with me of course.
We rode down the coast enjoying the wetlands and rode the Knotts Island Ferry across the waterway. It was a Beautiful ride on a very windy day (20-30mph wind).
We ate at the NC Bar-B-Que place just south of the ferry crossing.
Fun was had by all!
Blessings,

Blast from the Past

What a great blast from the past!

I got a text yesterday from one of the awesome men that founded this Christian Soldiers Motorcycle Ministry – Randy WOLF.
He texted his phone number and I called him right back.. we had a great talk.
God is doing amazing things in his life, family, work and ministry.
We shared what God was currently doing in our lives and how he was at work in and around us.
We shared prayer requests and prayed right there on the phone.

May God richly bless you WOLF as He leads you by still waters.
And May God richly bless the Christian Soldiers as we continue to life Him high in the name of His son Jesus.

He said a very cool thing just as he was getting off the phone.. ’Live Free’.
Isn’t that the whole meaning of Life, the Universe and Everything? Surrender fully to God then, Live Free!
Thank you WOLF.. I’m going to start saying that more often.

More as we go,
