C1 Monthly Meeting Change to 17th

Howdy Soldiers,
Have to move the monthly meeting to the 17th.
Sorry for the inconvenience... I double booked an event and can't change the other one.

Meet at ICEMANS at 6PM. (Note time change - we moved it up to 6PM because of daylight savings time.. if this doesn't work, we can talk about it at the meeting!).
We will RIDE to a local dive.. I mean, a local restaurant/truck stop that actually has some DESSERT!

Blessings to all,
ICEMAN

Newest Christian Soldier - LURCH

Welcome LURCH!!!
Don Bokmiller (LURCH) received his full patch this past Saturday at our monthly Meeting.  He is a rock solid Christian man that brings new strength of character and solid faith to our Chapter.  We welcome him and look forward to his great ideas for outreach opportunities.

If you have been seeking for meaning in your life and want to know more about faith in Christ, contact us.  If you have been seeking a group to ride with that would give you the shirt off their back, or help you out with anything that life throws at you, contact us.  If you already are a Christian and want to ride with fellow believers.. contact us.

National Meeting / Camping Trip

Fun was had by all.
POBOY recovered enough from his injuries (truck wreck) to come see us off for the trip.  He rode up on a nice SPORTSTER!!!! Go figure - his ol' bike retired and he's now riding a 1200.
He rolled with us as far as Ahoski where he waved and departed.. the rest of us rolled on to Kerr Lake for the National Meeting / Camping trip.
DON (with his wife Shelley) and ICEMAN were on bikes and PSYCHO was in his cage (poor guy.. he was hauling his kids). I had my son on my bike and the other 2 kids were in the car with my wife Heather (they took turns on the bike).
DJ, DOC and TINY came from C2 along with Jason and some friends of his.. they were good people.  Hopefully we will ride with them again.. forgive me if i'm wrong, but I think their names were Greg and Melinda.  Also an awesome couple wearing the Bikers for Christ patch were there... forgot their names - dang.. I'm getting older and names don't stick so well.  =)

Anyway.. gorgeous weather, great food, tents, friends, campfires, etc.. all was a great time.
We had our national meeting and made some decisions for moving forward as a Motorcycle Ministry.
TINY rejoined the group in C2 and DON (our prospect) from C1 gave his testimony and his vision for joining the group.
Hoping we can make more impact for Christ next year as we roll along the highways and byways.
See ya'll next year!!!

Here are a few pictures of the trip:

See ya later Bobby White

Said goodbye this past Monday to the son of a dear friend JOSEY WALES.
Bobby was an awesome young man.  Didn't take long at the funeral to realize he touched a lot of people and will be greatly missed.  He even rode with us a couple times and turned out to be pretty good riding in a tight group.  His family is some of the most kind and friendly people you would ever want to meet.  Rock solid Christians and Bikers to the core.  We shall keep them in our prayers as they grieve their great loss.  Blessings and Peace to Kenny, Debbie and Billy. We loved Bobby too.. and will all miss him very much.

I sent this quote to Kenny when I first heard the news:

"Now remember, when things look bad and it looks like you're not gonna make it, then you gotta get mean. I mean plumb, mad-dog mean. 'Cause if you lose your head and you give up then you neither live nor win. That's just the way it is."

Our Clubhouse - Ministryhouse!!!

Here's a quick picture of our clubhouse.

Woof.. it sure looks like we need to lay-hands on it!
Technically, we're not a motorcycle club, we're a motorcycle MINISTRY.. so this is better referred to as our Ministryhouse... not Clubhouse.  LOL

It's got a long way to go.. but does the job.  Last night at the meeting we put on a citronella candle and had a great bible discussion and also talked logistics about the upcoming National Meeting / Campout!!!

2011 National Meeting/ Camping Trip

OK guys.. start getting your bikes all gassed up and your camping gear ready!
It's time again for our Annual National Meeting - And this year it is at Kerr Lake.

We rode down and went camping at Kerr Lake before and had a great time... so we reserved the same group campsite.

Families are welcome. (But not in the actual National meeting).

We are to arrive on the Saturday 8th of October.  Our meeting will be sometime Saturday evening.  We will be staying the night in tents, and then departing AFTER a short church service on Sunday Morning.  We have the site until 3PM so perhaps we eat lunch before we break camp... we'll see.

It's going to be a great time.. so plan accordingly.
Contact ICEMAN with questions and concerns.

Ride for the Chili

Chapter 1 is going for a ride.
We are kickstands up at 9AM on Saturday 6th of August.
Meet at ICEMAN'S house for some coffee at 8:30AM - gassed up and ready to roll.
We're rolling down together to see DJ and the others at Chapter2, and to spend the weekend with them.

We're gunna bring all the fixins for a burger cookout, shoot some guns,  eat a bunch of chili, watch a movie (Blazing Saddles?) and stay up late talkin' about all the fun stuff going on in our
lives.

On Sunday  we will ride back to Virginia after church.  We may even eat lunch before we leave.. we'll see.

So.. check/change your oil, gas up your bike and get ready for a fun ride and good fellowship with
the guys of Chapter 2.  Sure hope POBOY is feeling well enough to ride after his truck wreck.
Keep praying for his recovery.. he's still hurtin' quite a bit.

More details as the time gets closer.

Outreach SUCCESS!

Howdy All,
We had a great outreach to the elderly this past Saturday (9th of April).
No other PATCH holders showed, but we did have 2 biker friends come out to help and be blessed!
Thanks for letting God use you DON and DAN.  We will invite you to do many more things with us and even come 'hang-around' the clubhouse (or ministryhouse as some would say).

We also had members of our small group bible study (7PM at ICEMAN's every Tuesday if you are interested).
All in all 6 people.. reaching out, being humble servants of the Most High God.

One ancient as dust lady I talked with HANNAH, said her 92nd birthday was coming up here pretty soon, and with no husband, nor children still alive.. she said no one was going to remember or visit anyway.

HAH.. that's what SHE thinks!

We are going to build her a cake and go visit her.
Thank you Lord for letting us be used in such a simple way.. to visit the widows!!!
Here are some more shots of the riveting event!!!

J Brauner Fire-Loss Benefit

What a great turn out for a benefit ride!
Jimmy Brauner (local rider) lost everything he had in a house fire.
So some friends... hear me now... FRIENDS... decided to throw a benefit ride for him and his family.   They send out emails, texts, facebook messages, everything the could and you know what.. the word spread as quickly as the fire did.  There must have been 200bikes there at the Lazy Horse at 1:30PM when I got there.. the benefit started at noon and guys were coming in... donating, eating some good ol' bar-b-que and riding off.  It was awesome... I bet the whole turnout was well over 400bikers.
I have honestly never seen a BENEFIT ride this big.
Praise the Lord for friends we can turn to in our time of need.
Praise the Lord for Jesus Christ we can turn to in our time of need.
He (jesus) will take care of the eternity part!!! And will bring you great joy and peace while you are still here.

Go call a friend.. we need each other.
Go call on God... we need his presence in our lives every day.

Ham Biscuits at the Monthly Meeting!!!

WooHoo.
Weather is sooo unpredictable.. but thank God it was decent enough for RIDING to the monthly meeting.

PSYCHO showed up at my place on his bike at 5PM.  We left soon after and rode toward the clubhouse in
Suffolk.  The sun was EXACTLY down the road.. EXACTLY in our eyes.  Unbelievable.. couldn't see the car right in front of me on the highway!  We were very happy when it set!

The ham-biscuits were hot out of the oven when we arrived at SMILEY's place.  The clubhouse now has a coffee maker and some chairs.  I donated (but haven't delivered yet) a file cabinet and a microwave.
SMILEY purchased a 1/2 sized fridge (brand new)... awesome.  So we are ready to rock and roll.. except for finishing the paining of the interior.

It was a great meeting.
POBOY was the only guy missing due to illness.
It's really great when every guy in the club has a running bike!!
Praise the Lord.

Great monthly meeting and great food.  We're gunna be cooking burgers here before long.. as soon as the ice melts off the grille!

Keep praying for opportunity for us to serve!
God is good and always will be.
