Newest Christian Soldier - LURCH

Welcome LURCH!!!
Don Bokmiller (LURCH) received his full patch this past Saturday at our monthly Meeting.  He is a rock solid Christian man that brings new strength of character and solid faith to our Chapter.  We welcome him and look forward to his great ideas for outreach opportunities.

The Christian Soldiers is always looking for good men of integrity. If you have been seeking for meaning in your life and want to know more about faith in Christ, contact us.  If you have been seeking a group to ride with that would give you the shirt off their back, or help you out with anything that life throws at you, contact us.  If you already are a Christian and want to ride with fellow believers.. contact us.

We're only human.. but we are servants of the most High God.

National Meeting / Camping Trip

Fun was had by all.
POBOY recovered enough from his injuries (truck wreck) to come see us off for the trip.  He rode up on a nice SPORTSTER!!!! Go figure - his ol' bike retired and he's now riding a 1200.
He rolled with us as far as Ahoski where he waved and departed.. the rest of us rolled on to Kerr Lake for the National Meeting / Camping trip.
DON (with his wife Shelley) and ICEMAN were on bikes and PSYCHO was in his cage (poor guy.. he was hauling his kids). I had my son on my bike and the other 2 kids were in the car with my wife Heather (they took turns on the bike).
DJ, DOC and TINY came from C2 along with Jason and some friends of his.. they were good people.  Hopefully we will ride with them again.. forgive me if i'm wrong, but I think their names were Greg and Melinda.  Also an awesome couple wearing the Bikers for Christ patch were there... forgot their names - dang.. I'm getting older and names don't stick so well.  =)

Anyway.. gorgeous weather, great food, tents, friends, campfires, etc.. all was a great time.
We had our national meeting and made some decisions for moving forward as a Motorcycle Ministry.
TINY rejoined the group in C2 and DON (our prospect) from C1 gave his testimony and his vision for joining the group.
Hoping we can make more impact for Christ next year as we roll along the highways and byways.
See ya'll next year!!!

Here are a few pictures of the trip:

See ya later Bobby White

Said goodbye this past Monday to the son of a dear friend JOSEY WALES.
Bobby was an awesome young man.  Didn't take long at the funeral to realize he touched a lot of people and will be greatly missed.  He even rode with us a couple times and turned out to be pretty good riding in a tight group.  His family is some of the most kind and friendly people you would ever want to meet.  Rock solid Christians and Bikers to the core.  We shall keep them in our prayers as they grieve their great loss.  Blessings and Peace to Kenny, Debbie and Billy. We loved Bobby too.. and will all miss him very much.

I sent this quote to Kenny when I first heard the news:

"Now remember, when things look bad and it looks like you're not gonna make it, then you gotta get mean. I mean plumb, mad-dog mean. 'Cause if you lose your head and you give up then you neither live nor win. That's just the way it is."

ELIZABETH CITY RIDE - Outreach and SERVING

ELIZABETH CITY RIDE - Outreach and SERVING opportunity.

We have been invited to participate in a kickoff of a new church plant in Elizabeth City.
The pastor is a good friend of our very own prospect DON and they have need of help during a PIG ROAST cookout to kickoff the start of the new church.
The community is invited and we are going to ride down there on OCT 3rd - SUNDAY - in the afternoon to help with anything we can.
The cookout starts at 4PM.
We will ride out at NOON from my house - (ICEMAN).

So be there 15min before and kickstands up at NOON.
We will roll over to DON's place in Chesapeake and then to Elizabeth City from there.

Pray for a good turnout from the community.
God can do amazing things when we humble ourselves, pray and SERVE.

10th ANNUAL SUFFOLK SWAMP ROAR

Blast it!!!!
The SWAMP ROAR in Suffolk is the same weekend as our National Meeting.
Bummer.. I was really looking forward to that ride.
OK.. so the Christian Soldiers will be out of town on a camping trip weekend.. but I encourage all of you that have bikes - go ride the Swamp Roar.. it's fun and there are tons of vendors and bikes and food, etc.
Be safe out there.. and watch for cars cutting into the line.

Our Clubhouse - Ministryhouse!!!

Here's a quick picture of our clubhouse.

Woof.. it sure looks like we need to lay-hands on it!
Technically, we're not a motorcycle club, we're a motorcycle MINISTRY.. so this is better referred to as our Ministryhouse... not Clubhouse.  LOL

It's got a long way to go.. but does the job.  Last night at the meeting we put on a citronella candle and had a great bible discussion and also talked logistics about the upcoming National Meeting / Campout!!!
