CHRISTMAS PARTY 2008

Time to chill out and eat tons of great food and celebrate Christmas (and all that Christ has done for us) together!!!!
This year's Christmas Party is a POT LUCK.

RIDE OF THE MONTH

Howdy Men,

In efforts to get out and ride more (many of you LIVE on your bikes and this doesn't apply).. we decided to pick a local ride once a month and see how many patches we can get on the road. We are Christian Soldiers, destined for eternity in Heaven... but until that day comes we need to be out there where the world needs us most... riding next to them and being examples of Christ.

Ride for the Burgers!!!

What a totally great time!
We rode from church for about 45min and ended up at my place (ICEMAN).
I had a pile of leaves in my front yard that I hadn't raked so we rode our motorcycle right thru it and nearly caught LEE's bike on fire (leaves were smoldering on his pipes).
Burgers flared up and we nearly had a burnt offering, but TENNESSEE tossed water on the flames to save the feast.

VISION / MISSION

Christian Soldiers is what we are. Second Timothy Chapter Two is the passage we chose because we found it to be a great motivating, descriptive, and encouraging scripture for a soldier of the Lord.

The choosing of the MM cube over the MC cube was well thought. We chose to 'minister' and reach-out instead of just sit around pretending. We as Christians want to and must reflect the name and life of our Lord Jesus Christ (to the best of our ability). We must try to serve as He served and the fruit that we bear is for the glory of God and not of ourselves. We as Christians strive to adhere to the Godly outline given to us through His word; The Bible, as a way to live per the example of Christ. Though we are still human and contend with the flesh this is not always the case, but still we strive. We do this because as born again believers, we are called to be separate and to observe the structure given us by God in His word, in turn making us examples of Christ's love, a reflection. Keep in mind we are not perfect and are definitely still works in progress. In our striving to be more Christ like we exercise what is known as "the great commission". This is simply a command given by our Lord to "Go into all the world and preach the good news to all creation". Jesus said this in Mark 16:15. The very nature of this great commission is the beginnings of what is known today for us as ministry. In some Christian motorcycle ministries or clubs you are required to observe worldly, legalistic and politically motivated rules and regulations, which may at times prohibit, distract and take away from your goals as a ministry. Not to mention cause contention and strife within the body. Of course not all Christian MM, Me's are like this.

It is our desire to be governed by the Word of God with the extreme help of His Holy Spirit in all aspects of our walk, personal and ministry. All that we do is for the Glory of God because in His mercy He provided His Son Jesus to pay the penalty for our sin so that we might not spend an eternity without Him in Hell, but an eternity with Him in Heaven. Our purpose is to bring this "good news" to all that we can. This is our ministry/duty.

Our ministry/duty should be a part of our daily walk and not limited to any one organization or facet but many. The exercise of our great commission should be our choice as led by God's Holy Spirit. This way we can work freely in the Spirit. Therefore Christian Soldiers is a Motorcycle Ministry that is governed and motivated by The Word Of Truth, who encourage its members to be involved in ministry as led by the Holy Spirit and not by this particular body.

WE ARE CHRISTIANS, WE ARE SOLDIERS, WE ARE BIKERS, WE ARE BROTHERS. Let's have a blast!
